So does smoking help people to control their stress and anxiety level, well the scientific answer is NO! Smokers are actually more stressed than non-smoker, so given the government BAN on smoking in public places.
Smokers as they give up the fags are going to be in the short term a lot more stressed then usually but in the long run their stress levels will be lower.

It is a habit to have a smoke,

Giving up should be your cause,

As in pain they will cry,

But sticking with it we must do,
Reduce it down to just a few,

Never have they smoked a day,

Step 2) Have a replacement tobacco product, (Gum or Patches).
Step 3) Destroy all your old cigarettes and lighters.
Step 4) Take up a hobby or interest to distract you and try to relax.
