I have been to the doctors today, without examing me he has put me on a low dose of beta-blockers, but didn't really say a lot, just that they will help improve things, its my birthday in 19 days and i was looking forward to going out, now i am on more medications. Bummer, i was feeling good today and very positive, just felt like a chair has been kicking from underneath me. Ita still like a rollercoaster up one side then down the other. Now i cannot sleep for fear of heart failure as it says on the box.

Sad you need to sleep, beta blockers can be given for many reasons my husband is taking the whole pharmacy stock of them each day, so loose you fear and close your eyes you will wake up in the morning, if you dont sleep your mood will drop and then the roller coastercan become the ride from hell and its hard to get off.

I hope you feel better today, I would suggest you revisit the Dr and ask him why you are on them, better still ask for a copy of your notes which you are entitled to do now under "The freedom of information act"
take care mate

After suffering the pounding hate rate starting the tablets i have come up with a plan to suit me, i will reduce the dose and stop taking the beta blockers, i am not going to the gym now for a while, so my blood pressure is okay at normal just when i exercise. I will enjoy a birthday night out free of medication, got to enjoy myself once in a year which is good for depression, then i will carry out the doctors orders as he knows better, 14days wont kill me, and if it does what a night it was. lol. Certainly sounds like it could be anxiety, but the great thing is you seem to
have noticed it very early, most of us don't.Others will no doubt suggest other
things as well, but a few tips that may help nip it in the bud early.

Things that will aggravate it:
Caffeine
Nicotine
Alcohol
